it's quite ironic that we're called kiwis, because we're named after a flightless bird. but us kiwis, we love to adventure and fly around the world and just look for fun! we're a fun loving people and that's what we are. we're from new zealand home to some of the harshest conditions in the world. growing up in this diverse landscape we have to adapt to our environment
and that's why our gear is made to be tough and versatile. since 1987, we've been designing gear to take on new zealand, and the world! travel is part of our culture, it's in our dna. in new zealand, it's a rite of passage, you turn 18, get your kathmandu backpack and you head overseas. to find adventure, to experience other cultures. we design, we test, we adapt right here, in new zealand
to give people the confidence to go anywhere in the world. it's about the journey more than the destination. we believe adventure begins when you pack your bag. we are kathmandu.
